Fall 2009-Spring 2010
Public open houses will be held throughout the fall and winter to give citizens the opportunity to learn more about the airport’s major planning projects. These projects include the Environmental Assessment for the runway extension and the Master Plan update, which incorporates the Terminal Area Plan.
Aspen-Pitkin County Airport is leading the industry with its voluntary climate action plan, aimed at reducing emissions associated with the airport and its operations.
The Board of County Commissioners’ primary focus regarding Aspen-Pitkin County Airport is safety, efficiency and environmental responsibility. These three tenants are the hallmarks of all airport improvement projects and reflect Pitkin County’s commitment to its citizens.
